Which seven core units do all learners take?
- BSBPEF501 — Manage personal and professional development
- FNSCUS511 — Develop and maintain professional relationships in financial services industry
- FNSFMB411 — Prepare loan applications on behalf of clients
- FNSFMB412 — Identify client needs and present broking options
- FNSFMK515 — Comply with financial services regulation and industry codes of practice
- FNSINC411 — Conduct work according to professional practices in the financial services industry
- FNSINC412 — Apply and maintain knowledge of financial products and services
These are the core units in the qualification. A provider may group them into differently named modules; ask for a map to the national unit codes.
How do the five electives work?
At least three must be from the listed electives. Up to two can come from eligible Certificate III or higher qualifications or accredited courses. Imported choices must be from currently endorsed products, relevant to the work, avoid duplicated outcomes and preserve the qualification’s level and a valid industry-supported outcome.
What are the national entry requirements?
National entry requirements are nil. Provider readiness and enrolment checks remain separate. Ask about reading, number and digital skills and the support available before you enrol.
Does the award authorise credit activity?
No. Course completion does not by itself authorise regulated credit activity. Confirm the arrangement and permitted activities for your proposed role.
How do you compare a provider’s modules with these units?
Ask for a written map covering all seven core codes and all five chosen electives. Module names and bundled Certificate IV–Diploma offers can hide which award a task belongs to. Record the assessment, resources, assessor access and credit decision for each unit; shared titles do not establish automatic credit or an upgrade unit count.
